So, the waters met for a matter predestined | We have created every thing bymeasure |

中国语文 - Ma Jian : 故他祈祷他的主说:我确是被压迫的,求你相助吧!• But the sky's gates were opened on them that day, and therefore, the water that came down was not from clouds.
Ibn Jarir preferred this view | The people of Nuh denied their Messenger before them |

3Then he invoked his Lord saying : "I have been overcome, so help me! Mujahid said about Wazdujir: "He was driven out accused on account of madness | And We caused springs to gush forth from the earth |

theguilty are in error and madness… Lo! We have created every thing by measure [54:47-49] | Qatadah said, "Allah left the ship of Nuh intact until the first generation of this Ummah were able to see it |
'' However, it appears that the meaning here is that Allah kept ships as a sign.
